Chain Is A Versatile, Important Tool
In Rigging…And We Have A Variety
To Choose From

Like wire rope, chain has many uses and various working load capacities. Chain is made out of steel links which are forged together at a high temperature. The lifting grade chain is either Grade 80 or Grade 100.

We use various components and make slings, usually a 2 leg, 3 leg, or 4 leg assemblies for lifting.

  • Grade 30 – General purpose utility chain.
  • Grade 40 – (High-Test) Used for general lashing application.
  • Grade 43 – (High-Test) Used for general applications.
  • Grade 70 – (Transport) Used for over the road lashing.

We also stock a variety of ratchet and lever binders for securing the lashing chain to the loads.

There is heavier grade chain used in ship’s anchors.

Stainless steel chain can be used as a barrier in a corrosive environment.

Chain can also have a galvanized coating for protection in corrosive environments.

Electric, air, and manual hoists use a high grade of chain for overhead lifting.
