When the wire rope on your crane has reached the end of its lifespan, or if you’re concerned it’s condition is deteriorating and might need testing, call Consolidated Rigging and let us handle all the dirty work.

After many hours of duty cycle, the lube on wire rope picks up all sorts of grime. This can lead to damage and breaking of the wire, which is why they must be replaced on a regular basis.

We have the equipment, the man power, and the expertise to off load the old rope and install new rope. We also calibrate and adjust to take the slack out and advance if necessary.

Not all wire rope change outs are the same: A crane may have a “left lay” and a “right lay” drum which requires skill to install.

Additionally, we perform an inspection of the wire rope sheaves which can be the main cause of wire rope failure.

We also have the personnel and equipment to load test the crane after installation.
